Last week, Fox News contributor Todd Starnes revealed Facebook removed one of his posts “because it doesn’t follow the Facebook Community Standards.”
The ostensibly controversial content simply suggested that Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy should have told Bureau of Land Management agents that his ranch was populated only by “Mexican cows” who “came across the border illegally to seek better grazing opportunities.”
Judging from the willingness of site administrators to take down a pro-Bundy post, one might imagine there would be a similarly low threshold of tolerance for comments from the other side of this ongoing debate. The existence of a page titled “Cliven Bundy Must Die,” however, suggests otherwise.
In an apparent effort to stay within the guidelines imposed by Facebook, the page’s moderators insist it “in no way condones violence of any kind” and “exists only for the awareness of the scientific fact that Cliven Bundy Must Die.”
Despite having already gained exposure by a few conservative media outlets since its first post Friday, the page has attracted just over 200 likes as of this writing. In fact, the overwhelming response has been fierce opposition to the page’s incendiary rhetoric and the flimsy “scientific” justification offered for its existence.

Others are using the opportunity to express their support of the rancher, who was recently portrayed by the New York Times and other left-leaning outlets as a racist after portions of a statement he made to supporters were published out of context.

Nevertheless, the page administrators defiantly defend its content with increasingly recalcitrant status updates.
